Elizabeth Profaci graduated in 2015 from Franklin High School and took part in Franklin’s Mock Trial team and Moot Court.
What’s Her Favorite Mock Trial Memory?
“My favorite memory of mock trial was when we went to the State Semi Finals when I was a junior. It was so exciting to go to Annapolis and be part of the legal team that day. Beyond that, my senior year, Melissa Eisgrau and I won the State Championship for Moot Court. With both of these experiences, it was rewarding to know that all the hard work and late nights put into learning the facts of difficult cases paid off.” – Elizabeth. How has Mock Trial Helped Her?
“Mock Trial gave me the necessary skills to be able to read and understand complexcases and understand legal jargon. These skills were invaluable when I was a legislative intern in the United States Senate during the summer of 2017, where I got to experience how laws are formed up close. But beyond these practical skills, I cannot understate how grateful I am for my experience on the Franklin High School Mock Trial team as a whole. Through the program, I gained a level of confidence that I don’t think I would have otherwise.” – Melissa
